Intermediate Refresher Course The EMT Intermediate Refresher Course offered through the National EMS Academy is approved by the Louisiana Bureau of EMS and meets all requirements for recertification through the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians. The cost of the course is $150. Additional classes for Continuing Education credit can be attended at no additional charge.

Continuing education can be received through classroom training, special projects and Computer-Based Training (CBT).
