    Here at the National EMS Academy, we are dedicated to providing a positive learning experience for our students. We use a combination of classroom instruction and real-life simulation to create an exciting environment for learning.

    EMT-Basic
    Spring/Fall semesters: Courses are held four days/week (Monday-Thursday), from 8am-12pm each day. Time to get your certificate is about 4-5 months.

    Summer semester: Courses are held four days/week (Monday-Thursday) from 8am-5pm each day. Time to get your certificate is about 2-3 months.

    Basic Course Composition:
    • Classroom Instruction: 25 days (100 hours)
    • Skills Instruction and Practice: 17 days (68 hours)
    • Ambulance Clinical Time: Two 12-hour shifts
    EMT-Paramedic
    Our Paramedic classes are held 2 days/week on alternating shifts (Monday & Tuesday/Wednesday & Thursday), from 9am-5pm each day. These classes follow a 12 hour work schedule, which allows you to work full-time while attending class.

    Basic Course Composition:
    • Classroom Instruction: 42 days (250 hours)
    • Skills Instruction and Practice: 42 days (250 hours)
    • Ambulance Clinical Time: 21 days (12-hour shifts)
    • Hospital Clinical Time: 21 days (12-hour shifts)
